You’ve got that new screen unpacked , plugged in , you pop in your favorite movie and the movie has black bars on the top and bottom. And you you thought you had a widescreen. Well you do, but a lot of movies are even wider.

The biggest complaint most people have is that they still have that annoying wasted screen space when they are watching movies.

Home theaters have enjoyed this extra wide format called 2.35:1 for a while using Panamorph lens and adjusting the projector encoding. This year at CES Vizio revealed plans for tvs that will be in this new wide format. It will be available in the 50- 58″ size range. The sets like many others will have internet apps also. We’ll see if others follow…..

When you are in your car or you are listening to your radio at home, you are limited to what radio stations you can listen to.  Why?  Well first of all the power of the transmitter from the station is usually limited to 100 miles.  Also, the other factor is that the broadcast spectrum that is available will only allow you to get a few local stations.  Well all that has changed with the emergence of internet radio stations.  This is because there is no geographical area with internet radio.  So if you live in Iowa, you can listen to a broadcasting that is going on in Venezuela.

Also, traditional radio is only limited to audio.  But that is not the case with free online radio.  There are some internet stations that are broadcast along with photos, links and texts.  Some even have ways for listeners to interact with each other through chat rooms or message boards.  If you decide to run your own internet radio station, you have a wide range of things you can do.  You can create your own MP3’s and upload them.  You can even hold a training session or education course.

The best way to find the best in free music is to go to www.onlineradiostations.com.  They have a listing of all the free radio stations that are available online.  You can find everything you need whether it is a local radio station in your area or a radio station broadcasting from South Africa.
